Parts of the forest are beautiful and well worth a visit, especially some of the southern sections.

So, go . . . for the day. Then head back to your campsite at St. George State Park. You'll be glad you did. You'll have potable water. A toilet. And a sea breeze to keep the voracious bugs at bay.

real north Florida wilderness. go the hiking trail. it's an experience!

Camping, on the other hand can be, well, hell.

Stayed at 2 different campsites and LOTS of broken glass, shell casings and bathroom trash, all around.

If you plan to go 4-Wheeling or dirtbike riding, think twice. It's just a bunch of straight, hard, grassy, paths along ditches. It's such a boring place to ride.

Like horse flies? You'll find plenty. Fan of yellow flies? They got 'em by the baker's thousands. Enjoy the whine of mosquitoes in your ears? No shortage of that experience.

We did the High Bluff hiking loop this morning and loved it! The trail was well marked, and absolutely beautiful. We even ran into a park ranger on the way in, she was very nice. =)
